Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette (born Bernadette Lazzara on 28 February 1948) Peters is an American artist, musician and writer of children's books in the series Ozone Park Queens New York. In a five-decade career her appearances have been in musicals and television and also in solo performances and recorded albums. She's been nominated to seven Tony Awards and won two and eight Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards were won for four Broadway casting albums, that she appeared on. Peters first performed in the theatre as a child and then a teenage actor in the 1960s and in film and on television during the 1970s. Her work was widely praised for her early work and for roles as a character on The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show and in other TV shows and also for her performances in films like Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. She returned to Broadway in the late 1980s where she became the most well-known Broadway star for the next thirty years. Peters has also recorded seven solo albums, and a number of singles, in addition to several cast albums. In addition, she performs regularly in her own solo show. Peters also continues to act in films and on television where she has been awarded three Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards winning one time.
