Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to take an interest in acting. In his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. Although he's been in films as well as on TV but it's the actors portrayed in small screen that has earned him fame. His ability to portray characters on both sides of law is what has caught the attention of the public. On his debut TV show in which he played the role of a murderer. He then went on to play the part of an NYPD Detective. In recognition of his performance on the smaller screen, he's been up for nomination numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The actor is famous for his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him portray tough characters with charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
